

Loyd Clayton Hefley, 89, of Alma, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born March 11, 1928 in Haskell County, OK to the late Talmage and Nettie Hefley. He was a plasterer, and swimming pool contractor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Bobbie Jean Hefley; two sisters, Drucilla Bishop and Syble Dine; and a brother, Grady Hefley.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana Gentry and husband Donald of Alma; a son, Alan Hefley and wife Susan of Muldrow; a sister, Inez Crook of Stigler; a brother, Carl Hefley and wife Sandy of Quinton; sister- and brothers-in-law, Beverly McClendon, Richard Patterson, Randy McClendon, and Dickie Gilstrap; two grandsons, Eric Hefley of Alma, and Evan Hefley of Fort Smith; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
