
Lucille Ray, 88, of Alma, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Fort Smith. She was born October 23, 1926 in Parkin, AR to the late Commandor and Guy Eula Thompson. She was a retired bookkeeper, and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Ray, and three brothers, Creed, Gene, and Claxton Thompson.
She is survived by three daughters, Dian Wiles of Halfway, MO, Joy Wynn of Placerville, CA, and Cindy McClendon of Cedarville; three sons, Perry Ray of Vallejo, CA, and Bruce and Billy Ray both of Alma; five sisters, Connie Brown, Patsy Wallin, JoEllen Sitz, Gualena Higgins, and Lorine Gaines; two brothers, Wayne and Billy Thompson; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Alma Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ray, Brian Ray, Steve Ray, Lane Inge, Brandon Inge, and Dustin Smith.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
