Lynda Jean Russell Prescott

Linda Jean Russell Prescott, 64, of Pocola, OK went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday March 9, 2013 in Fort Smith. She was born July 5, 1948 in Fort Smith to Virgil and Faye Russell. She was retired from Whirlpool, a lifetime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and attended Hope Center in Van Buren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Raymond Prescott; a twin sister, Lannah June Russell; and a brother, Ronnie Russell.

She is survived by four daughters, Laura Barbour of Juneau, AK, Angela Garner of Van Buren, Bonnie Gee and husband Darren of Juneau, AK, Tanya Parks and husband Jamy of Alma; her mother, Faye Jean Russell of Van Buren; three sisters, Judy Cook, Karyn Horn, and Kathy Williams all of Van Buren; a brother, Jerry Russell of Van Buren; ten grandchildren, Brandi, Jessica, Aaron, Michael, Cody, Christina, Brandon, Morgan, Mekali, and Lannah; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Roger Prescott, Aaron Fielding, Cody Freeman, Michael Freeman, Forest Russell, and Joelynn Rose.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Edwards Van Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, AR.
