

Lynnah Dian Peevy Kimes, 59, of Mulberry went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 7, 1957 in Mulberry, to the late Fayette and Velda Peevy. She retired from the Mulberry School District, and was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ray Kimes.
She is survived by a daughter, Heather Keeling of Mulberry; a son, John Kimes and wife Callie of Alma; a sister, Verna Faye Smith of Dyer; two brothers, Dickie Peevy of Tulsa, and Thomas Peevy and wife Debbie of Collinsville, OK; two granddaughters, Kenzlee Keeling, and Payton Kimes; and four grandsons, Braden Kimes, and Jaxson, Kaylor and Kameron Keeling.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Kyshner, Frankie Crumpton, Gary Belt, Jake Millsap, Tom Bugg, Kaylor Keeling, Kameron Keeling, and Jeff Marvin. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1976 Alma Girls Basketball State Champions.
The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
The family of Lynnah Dian Kimes would like to take this opportunity to extend a heart-felt thank you to all who helped make their lives richer throughout Lynnah's extended illness. We sincerely appreciate Dr. Makhoul of UAMS of Little Rock and his staff and the Peachtree Hospice staff who gave Lynnah tender loving care; and our friends and family who showered us with prayers, food, cards, and visits. Thank you to Pastor Aaron Medlock who offered support, love, and kindness and helped ease our sorrow. To all of you who touched our hearts in so many ways, we say thank you and God bless you all. Although we will miss her daily presence, she will always live in our hearts.
