Mable Claudean Millsap

Mable Millsap, 88, of Mulberry, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Fort Smith. She was born July 16, 1933 in Mulberry to the late Robert and Edith (Taft) Pointer. She was retired from Gerber Products. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Millsap; a daughter, Freda Wilson; a brother, James Pointer; and a grandson, Lucus Wilson.

She is survived by two daughters, Joann Bowles of London, Arkansas, and Betty Gilliam of Mulberry; a son, Kenneth Millsap of Mulberry; a brother, Harold Pointer of Alma; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at New Cemetery in Mulberry, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Bowles, Jimmy Bowles, Timothy Gilliam, Jake Pritchard, Bryer Bowles, and Jimmy Dale Kirby. Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Modlin, J.W. Young, and Midge Peters.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
