

Margie Lane Huff, 88, of Mountainburg, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in Barling. She was born March 8, 1938 in the Mill Creek Community north of Charleston to the late Oscar and Lillie (Umholtz) Mantooth. She had been a member of Bethel Lutheran Church since 1969, and a hairdresser from 1968 through 2013. She was the co-owner of Elite Academy of Cosmetologists.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Elmer Huff; a son, Bobby Huff; a daughter, Charlotte Siero; a sister, Noma Bromley; a brother, Arlis Mantooth; and her first husband, Sgt. James R. Rutledge who was killed in Vietnam.
She is survived by three daughters, Teresa Davis of Fort Smith, Lisa Conyers and husband David of Fort Smith, and Lori Dumas and husband William of Florida; a son, Alan Rutledge and wife Dawn of Alma; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Fort Smith. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Ashes will be placed the Fort Smith National Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
