Marjorie Iona Walker, 83, of Alma, died Sunday, July 21, 2013 in Alma. She was born November 4, 1929 in Dean Springs to the late Claude and Helen Dean. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Alma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Walker.
She is survived by a daughter, Freda Rose and husband Fred of Prairie Grove; a son, Rick Walker of Alma; three grandchildren, Timothy Scott Rose, Melissa Anne Hutsell, and Stephanie Reed; and six great-grandchildren, Niklas, Michael, Meliah, Moriah, Jackson, and Harrison.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Dean Cemetery in the Dean Springs Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hutsell, Niklas Rose, Guy Dean, Jr., C.L. Dean, Rodney Squires, and Timothy Rose.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
