Martha Lea King

Martha King, 65, of Mountainburg, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at her home. She was born October 25, 1957 in Fairfax, MO to the late Leo and Margarett (Niece) Barnes. She served in the U.S. Navy and Army, and was an LPN at Cooper Clinic.

She is survived by her husband, Dan King of the home; two daughters, Stacey Parker and husband Charles of Alma, and Melissa Meadors of Rudy; a sister, Margarett Watkins of Mulberry; a brother, Walter Barnes of Winfield, MO; five grandchildren, Taylor Parker, Kayla Tatum, Austin Meadors, Madison Parker, and Ethan Parker; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2023 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Pope Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Charles Parker, Taylor Parker, Brent Meadors, Austin Meadors, Ethan Parker, and Chance Nelson.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2023, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
