Merle Belcher, 72, of Van Buren, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at his home. He was born October 26, 1948 in Oklahoma City to the late Wesley and Lillie (Casey) Belcher. He was retired from Riverside Furniture and was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; two sons, Billy Belcher of the home, and David Belcher and wife Carrie of Greenwood; a sister, Lavada Belcher of Rudy; a brother, Johnny Belcher of Van Buren; and six grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Gill Cemetery Pavilion in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Sambo Parmenter, Aaron Belcher, Josh Belcher, John Belcher, Sr., John Belcher, Jr., and Tony Roberts.
Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, August 14 and 15, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
