Mike Washburn, 65, of Alma, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 in Little Rock. He was born December 6, 1956 in Mulberry, to the late Walter and Genevieve (Stephens) Washburn. He had worked at the Farmers Coop in Van Buren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Velma Stephens and Brenda Gothard.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maria Washburn of the home; two sons, Christopher Washburn of Alma, and Daniel Washburn of Fraser, CO; a brother, Steve Washburn and wife Donna of Graphic; a granddaughter, Maddison Washburn; two nieces, Sara Putman and husband Matthew of Fort Smith, and Jessie Beller and husband Jessie of Mountainburg, as well as several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hatley, Scott White, Daniel VanMatre, Russell Gregory, Aaron Hamm, Chris Rhodes, Shane Ridenour, and Brian Kimes. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Harris, Tim Polcat, Roger Butcher, Fred Terrill, Harold Hill, and Danny Propst.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
