Monty Lee Hunter, 58, of Van Buren, left this world Monday, August 11, 2025 at his home. He was born October 12, 1966 in Fort Smith. He was a maintenance mechanic; an irreplaceable employee of Sunbelt Chemical & Equipment in Fort Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, “Brud” Hunter and Irma Ludwick Wilson.
He is survived by a daughter, Hannah Willet (Dustin) of Chester; three sons, Jason Hunter (Amanda) of Van Buren, Chris Hunter (Brittany) of Bentonville, and Braden Hunter of Fort Smith; a sister, Myrna Nichols (Matt) of Ozark; two brothers, David Hunter (Brenda) of Alma, and Mike Hunter of Little Rock; his best friend, Michelle Coram of Fort Smith; and eight grandchildren, Evie, Ariel, Jax, Shepherd, Shiloh, Emmalise, Knox, and Alivia.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
