Mr. Murrey “Bear” Priest, 59, of Van Buren, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in a Little Rock Hospital. He was a former employee of Southwestern Glass Company in Van Buren. Murrey was a loving husband, loved his grandkids, fishing, and making things with his hands.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy of the home; four daughters, Dayna Priest of Van Buren, Heather Priest of Van Buren, Miranda Johnson of the home, and Candice Stines of Van Buren; three sons, Joseph Priest of Fort Smith, Joshua Priest of the home, and Chase Greer of the home; four sisters, Josephine Moore of Fort Smith, Jacqueline Byrd of Fort Smith, Brenda Brown of Van Buren, and Vicki Hamilton of Van Buren; seventeen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
A family-hosted memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, at at the First Church of the Nazarene in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
