Norma Ruth Peevy Gregory

Mrs. Norma Ruth Peevy Gregory, 84, of Alma, AR died Saturday February 8, in a local hospital. She was a homemaker, attended Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, and was also a devoted mother, grandmother, and caregiver. She was preceded in death by her husband Buell Gregory, a daughter Sharon Peevy, and three brothers; Darrell, Don, and C.J. Newton.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 12 in Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at Bolton Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

She is survived by a daughter Kim Peters and her husband Lester of Fort Smith, AR, two step daughters; Peggy Wood of Van Buren, Carol Miller of Jonesboro, AR, a son Garry Peevy and his wife Cindy of Fort Smith, two stepsons Defton Gregory of Rogers, AR, Clifton “Butch” Gregory of Muskogee, OK, three sisters; Severta Parks of Pleasant Hill, CA, Yivy Tinney of Kibler, AR, Sue Bowen of Van Buren, AR, thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lester Peters, Brandon Peters, Tim Wood, Jamie Wood, Breck Childers, and Defton Gregory.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 11, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
