Leon Gentry, 89, of Van Buren, AR, died Friday, June 26, 2026 in Van Buren. He was born June 18, 1937 in Rudy, AR to the late Walter and Ruby (Reynolds) Gentry. He was a member of Shibley Baptist Church and retired from Dillmeier Enterprise in Fort Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Gentry.
He is survived by his son, Brian Gentry of Van Buren, AR; and a brother, Gerald Gentry of Van Buren, AR
Funeral service will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren with burial at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Chris Page, John Rowland, David Rouw, Morris Peters, James Westphal and Jimmy Atwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Melton, Bill Page, Martin Walton and Joe Shepard.
