Patricia Bernice Bolding

Patricia Bolding, 84, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 in Fort Smith. She was born February 27, 1941 in Peoria, IL to the late Reuben and Verlean (Weese) Winn. She married Darrell Moss Bolding on June 8, 1963. She was a 1959 honor graduate of Van Buren High School and was named to the Hall of Honor in 1959. She received her B.A. in Education from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1963 and taught school at Winslow, Arkansas. She was a devout follower of Jesus Christ and committed to reading and studying the Bible. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, genealogy and reading. With Darrell, she raised their family in her beloved home in Friendswood, Texas, for 40 years before they returned to Van Buren in 2015.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Bolding; and a sister, Shirley Harris.

She is survived by three children, Karyn DeFoore and husband Olen of Van Buren, Kevin Bolding and wife Sharon of Cascade, CO, and Darren Bolding and wife Tammie of Colorado Springs; and four grandsons, Michael DeFoore of Subiaco, Matthew and Andrew DeFoore of Van Buren, and Daniel Bolding of Cascade, CO.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be her family.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 10, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
