Patricia Ann Evans, 78, of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2026, in a local hospital. She was born October 5, 1947, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Travis and Maxine (Vaughn) Fleming. She was a homemaker and had several occupations throughout her working years.
She was a devoted follower of Christ who deeply loved her family. Her faith carried her through life, and we find comfort knowing she is now free from pain, reunited with her beloved husband, and home with her Savior. We will miss her dearly and hold onto the hope of seeing her again in Heaven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Evans; a sister, Rhonda Pecoraro; and a brother, Travis Bruce Fleming.
She is survived by two daughters, Kim Davis and husband William of Van Buren, and Michelle Henning and husband Roland of Fort Smith; two sisters, Rita Fleming of Benton Harbor, Michigan, and Glo-renda Fleming of Coloma, Michigan; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel, with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Davis, Kolten Henning, Hunter Davis, Skylar Stimson, D’Aundra Clay, and Alexis Stimson.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, Arkansas.
