Paul Edward Toon, 78, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 in Fort Smith. He was born October 23, 1945 in Fort Smith to the late Argel and Pauline (Manes) Toon. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and had been a machinist for Motor Mart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Toon, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Toon of the home; his niece and nephew, Jacqueline Whitlock (Randall) of Central City, and Jerry Toon, Jr. (Shannon) of Coweta, OK; and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Graveside memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family visitation and viewing will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
