Perry Landon, 68, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Perry entered this world in Germany on April 7, 1947. He was given up for adoption and adopted at the age of 4 years old by General Truman and Wilda Landon. He came here with his new parents and traveled with them throughout their military venture. He lived in Washington D.C., Panama, and back to Germany as a teenager. Once retired, they moved to LA and Perry entered the Air Force in 1965 after graduation. He spent 18 months in the Philippines and returned to the U.S. He was stationed at Travis Air Force Base where he met and married his wife Marjorie Saxton in April of 1968. In 1973, he moved to Fort Smith, and worked at many positions. He was a member of Northside Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marjorie Landon of the home; three sons, Jonathan Landon and wife Danielle of Muldrow, Joseph Landon of Cincinnati, OH, and Daniel Landon of Rudy; and four grandchildren, Cordell, Nathan, Piper, and Lexi.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with cremation to follow, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
The family wants to thank all friends and associates for all their prayers and assistance in this time of grief and loss. We know that we will see him again and that he is finally at peace with our Loving Savior Jesus Christ.
