Ronald D. Hibbs, 74, of Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his home. He was born August 8, 1947 in Fort Smith to late J.M. and Eulah (Roy) Hibbs. He served in the U.S. Army, and was retired from Gerber Products.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret “Susie” Hibbs; a son, Tony Armer; a sister, Yvonne Lecy; a granddaughter, Kristen Armer; his mother-in-law, Peggy Walters; and a brother-in-law, David M. Walters.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Hibbs of the home; three daughters, Carrie Medlyn and husband James, and Callie Hunter and husband Bret, all of Fort Smith, and Heather Riley and husband Randy of Van Buren; a son, Christopher Hibbs and wife Catrina of Fort Smith; a brother, Mathew Hibbs and wife Caroline of Fort Smith; nine grandchildren, Jake (Kym), Jared (Brianna), Hayden, R.J. (Abby), Luke, Emmalee, Will, Abbigail, and Graham; a great-grandchild, Beckett; nieces and nephew, Jennifer Lecy, Christa Hibbs, and Joshua Hibbs; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
