

Rosa Louise Collins, 99, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at her home in Van Buren. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Charles Bryant and Thelma Alice (Rogers) O’Daniel. She was a 1944 graduate of Van Buren High School and then Draughon’s Business College in Fort Smith. She retired from First Community Bank of Crawford County (formerly People’s Bank). She attended First Christian Church in Fort Smith.
In addition to her parents, Rosa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jolly Bee Collins; and a brother-in-law, William (Bill) H. Housley.
She is survived by her sister, Martha Jane Housley of Anchorage; her niece, Dayna Rose Corey and husband Michael of Anchorage; three great-nephews, Nathan Michael Corey (Heidi) of Needham, MA, Kevin Bryant Corey of Anchorage, and Glenn Joseph Corey of St. Petersburg, FL; and a great-great-niece, Avery Rose Ann Corey (Nathan and Heidi). She is also survived by her dedicated caregiver, Lacie Hughes, and neighbor, Jack Campbell.
In honor of Rosa’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. Her ashes will be placed at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith beside her husband.
