Ruby Lee Heafner, 78, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at her home. She was born November 8, 1935 to the late Azo and Vida Nichols. She raised produce and cattle, and attended the First Assembly of God in Van Buren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Heafner.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Carolyn Howard and Ann Thurmond both of Riverside, CA; and six nieces, Patsy May of Elk City, Diana Sisco and Ruby Lamb both of Van Buren, Virginia Mounce of Muldrow, Brenda Prince of Fort Smith, and Susan Hodge of Greenwood.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Lavaca, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
