I worked with Ruth at Hickory Springs. She was a very sweet, funny lady. So sorry to hear she has passed. I will be praying for peace and comfort for your family.

Once upon a time there was a little girl with a stuffed lamb.
Now I was really, really hard on Lamby. Grandma had to sew him up so many times I’m pretty sure there’s more white sewing thread left than there is anything else. She gave him clothes, once, a green floral onesie so that maybe I’d stop tearing him open. I took the onesie off several years later, but the rest of her fixes and ‘surgeries’ have held fast.
Thank you, Grandma, for always being there to piece us back together when life got rough. I love you.
