Sonia Ann Lauferswiler, 91, of Alma, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025 at her home. She was born December 17, 1933 in New York City to the late Michael and Elizabeth (Simko) Sauchuck. She had worked for New York Telephone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lauferswiler; a son, Danny Lauferswiler; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Stern and husband Dr. Gustavo Stern of Brownsville, Texas, and Toni Frey and husband Eric of Fayetteville; a son, John Lauferswiler and wife Mariella of Amarillo; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
