Stanley Rice, 60, of Van Buren, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 in Tucson, AZ. He was born June 13, 1960 in Monette, AR to the late Robert and Sharon Copeland Rice. He served in the U.S. Army, and had been a pipeliner for T.G. Mercer Consulting Service in Texas. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Rice.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Rice of the home; three stepdaughters; three sisters, Sherry Ann Rice and Robin Grimmett, both of Alma, and Becky June Sovacool of Cleveland, OH; a brother, Robin Rice of Bakersfield, CA; three grandchildren, Cameron, Jonathon and Rebekah; twelve step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; a niece, Brittany Hurst; two nephews, Joshua Rice and Brandan Glendenning; five great-nieces, Emma, Kirsten “Lexi”, Anna, Gracelyn and Bailey; and eight great-nephews, Dillinger, Maverick, Konrad, Kane, Vincent, Miles, Issacc, and Wes.
Family-hosted memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at Hearts of Hope Church at Oaks Manor in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

I had 47 years to know my brother and sadly I only have one memory. Kind eyes, a dapper smile and a tooth pick. Life is way too short to let the opportunity of memories to pas you by. I’ll see you on the other side big brother.

R.I.P. Brother n law. I will always miss you and my baby Ronnie!! If I could only turn back time! My life changed for the better when I met the Rice family. We made a lot of beautiful memories together that I will treasure forever. My heart goes out to all the family, I love you all! God Bless you all!!

I enjoyed meeting Stan at church in Monahans. He was always cheerful. Stan was "good people."
