Stephen Lynn Washburn Sr.

Steve Washburn, 61, of Alma, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 in Alma. He was born May 27, 1963 in Fort Smith to the late Walter and Genevieve (Stephens) Washburn. He worked for Hubbs Construction in Van Buren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenise Mason; a son, Jonathan Washburn; two sisters, Brenda Gothard and Velma Stephens; and a brother, Mike Washburn.

He is survived by his friend, Donna Cox of the home; five daughters, Joanna Chandler of Van Buren, Jennifer Miller and husband Ryan of Alma, Jessica Garner of Van Buren, Jessica Cox of Chester, and Sarah Cox of Muldrow; a son, Stephen Washburn, Jr. of Hackett; and twelve grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Pope Cemetery in the Graphic Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be James McCoy, Caleb Gregory, Jacob Tolbert, Nathan Gregory, Jerry Taylor, Harry Jones, and James Able.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
