

Sterling Price Johnson, IV, 48, of Van Buren, went to be with his Lord on Monday, March 31, 2014. He was born May 14, 1965 in Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, JoAnn, his precious baby grandson Zaven, his maternal and paternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and mother-in-law, Shirley Barlow.
Sterling is survived by his wife, Sheila Barlow Johnson of Hot Springs; a daughter Stacey Lammers and husband Greg of Pearcy; three sons, Sterling Price Johnson of Van Buren, Brandon Scott Johnson and wife Samantha of Wister, OK, and Dillon Arnold of Hot Springs; his father and step-mother, Jerry and Carol Johnson of Cedarville; a sister, Vena Thompson and husband Lynn of Natural Dam; three brothers, Maxwell Blade of Hot Springs, Steven Johnson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Davie Johnson of Cedarville; his father-in-law, Leon Barlow of Hot Springs; brother-in-law, Mike Barlow and wife Leah of Pearcy; six grandchildren, Ephram, Levi, Kasydi, Serenity, and Brantley Johnson, and Logan Lammers; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of wonderful friends too many to mention.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Price Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Dillon Arnold, Jason Thompson, Tom Collins, and Mitch Whitfield. Honorary pallbearers will be ICU Staff, Ward 5500 Staff, and Hospice Staff of Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, and staff of Pointer Trail Home and Healthcare in Van Buren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sterling’s name to Mercy Hospice of Fort Smith, the American Heart Association, or the Humane Society of your choice.
