

Steve “Beaver” White, 75, of Mountainburg, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026 in Fort Smith. He was born February 11, 1951 in Overland Park, Kansas to the late Glen and Mabel (Payne) White, Sr. He worked for the Arkansas Highway Transportation Department (AHTD). He was a very giving and loving husband, dad, and papa. He loved his family and he loved his ’70 Chevelle and showing it at car shows. He was always tinkering with his car, lawnmower, or yard. He enjoyed working with the Alma and Mountainburg ARDOT.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Sill; and three brothers, Tom White, Glen White, Jr., and Gary White.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda White of the home; two sons, Michael White (Jaime) of West Fork, and Brian White (Mandi) of Alma; a sister, Marcia Hobbs of Alma; five grandchildren, Skylar White, BrayLyne White, BriLee White, Dezalyn White, and Rheagan White; and four great-grandchildren, Nolan, Jaxxon, Carrington, and Lilah.
Cremation under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Memorial visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
