Travis Yancey Duffin

Travis Duffin, 53, of Van Buren, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home. He was born July 11, 1966 in San Diego. Travis was a truck driver, and never met a stranger; he could strike up a conversation with anyone. He loved his family and friends, and was loved in return. He was preceded in death by a sister, Celestia Duffin; and stepfathers, Jim Whitener and LaMont Nielsen.

He is survived by his parents, Verla Whitener of Utah, and LaMond and Jean Duffin of Van Buren; two sisters, Karry Nielsen of Utah, and EuJene’ Baird of Van Buren; two brothers, Ryain Duffin and wife Denice of Cedarville, and Yancey Duffin and wife Cassie of Van Buren; and his dog, Samantha “Poopy”.

Family-hosted memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 8326 Willow Creek Drive (off of Hwy 59) in Cedarville. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

When me and my boys first moved in right across from him, he was the first person to welcome us to the neighborhood. He would always have a smile on his face and we talked often about many things. My boys thought the world of (Doc). We think about him everyday. Our condolences to the family. He is, and will forever be missed!

He was always a happy and very knowledgeable guy and was will to help anyone in need, my girls adored their uncle doc, we always had fun wheeling never a dull moment with him, miss him so much already.
