Troy Barker, 64, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Fort Smith. He was born August 15, 1953 in Van Buren to the late Billy and Dorothy Barker. He had worked for Allen Canning, and retired from the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Barker of the home; five daughters, DeAndrea Bull of Van Buren, Christina Hibbard of Alma, Lisa McBride of Fort Smith, Tina Drost of Yulee, FL, and DeAngela Shavalier of Van Buren; two sons, Bobby Moses of Van Buren, and William Wise of Coal Hill; a sister, Ann Davidson of Cedarville; two brothers, Ronnie Barker of Fort Smith, and Bobby Barker of Van Buren; eighteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A family-hosted memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Unity Baptist Church in Van Buren. Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
