Velma Dean Etris, 82, of Van Buren, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at her home. She was born May 18, 1944 in Siloam Springs to the late Willie and Marie (Gibbs) McJunkin. She had been an office manager for Triangle Medical Systems and was a member of First Baptist Church in Van Buren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Clara Kinzey.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Etris of the home; two daughters, Julie Turner and her husband Allen of Van Buren and Amy Renee Etris of Heber Springs; a son, Michael Etris and his wife Jacquline of Van Buren; her twin sister, Thelma Turner of Siloam Springs; two brothers, William "Kim" McJunkin and Ricky McJunkin, both of Colcord, OK; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, Van Buren, Arkansas.
