

Velma Moon of Van Buren, passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 in Van Buren. She was born in Crawford County to the late Samuel and Lena Isam. She was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, a retired sales person for Dean’s Carpet in Fort Smith, and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert H. Moon.
She is survived by a son, Rick Moon and wife Lawanna of Van Buren; a sister, Dean Coleman and husband Rudolph of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Candice Foote of Hackett, and Rusty Helms of Booneville; and six great-grandchildren, Alanna, Draydon, and Kenton Helms, Colton Pruitt, and Alivia and Kenzie Slavens.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be David Crawford, Larry Crawford, Roger Huckey, Rodney Huckey, Wendell Brodie, and David Ferguson.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren.
