

Vera Collene Drum, 78, of Van Buren, AR, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Saturday, April 16, 2011 after a brief battle with cancer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sunnyside Assembly of God. She was the widow of Ney Row “Red” Drum. Also preceded in death by her parents Homer and Viar Mae Pitchford; and two brothers Russell and James Pitchford.
She is survived by six daughters, Brenda Arter of Van Buren, Cheryl Tobey and husband James of Charleston, Darlene Richesin and husband Lonnie of Van Buren, Nadine Turner and husband George of Mulberry, Teresa Coughran and husband Henry “Riley”, and Tanya Ray and husband Marty of Van Buren; one son, Keith Drum and wife Tracey of Van Buren; four sisters, Betty Copeland, Mary Barker, Barbara Lambert and Donna Harp all of Van Buren; a sister-in-law, Pauline Pitchford of Van Buren; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial at Gill Cemetery, Van Buren, AR, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Andy Richesin, Dewayne Richesin, Russell Ray, Justin Drum, Chris Coughran, Matt Coughran, and Jason Buckner. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Crissy Riechard, Jennifer McFarland Shana Cattlet, Sherry Buckner, Angela Buckner, Brandy Langley, Shawnna Turney; and grandsons Rodney Arter, and Tony Ray.
Family will visit with friends from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2011 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Grandson Reverend Randy Riley will be officiating services with Reverend Paul Buchanan.
