Virginia Rae Hood, 81, of Alma, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Fort Smith. She was born March 9, 1932 in Central, AR to the late Scott and Viva Bugg. She was a cook with the Alma School District. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William Bugg, Edward Bugg, and Eugene Bugg.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Hood of the home; four sons, Larry Hood of Alma, Rick Hood of Van Buren, Mark Hood of Sallisaw, and Kevin Hood of Dallas; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Pope Cemetery near the Graphic Community, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Scott Hood, Timothy Hood, Kirk Henderson, Anthony Hood, Anthony Ray Hood, and Damek Morriss.
