It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frances Lorraine Young, age 81, on Saturday, July 27, 2024. Frances was born in Los Angeles, California, and dedicated 36 years of her life as a teacher for the Simi Valley School District, making a significant impact on countless students.
Frances is survived by her niece, Stacy Koopman, who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Young, and her mother, Frances Lenore Densley.
A family moment will be held in Frances's honor on Friday, August 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 11830 Saticoy St, Los Angeles, CA 91605. Following this, a funeral service will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. Frances will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 13017 North Lopez Canyon Road, Sylmar, CA 91342, with a burial service occurring at 12:30 PM.
Frances will be remembered for her dedication to education and the love she shared with her family and students. Her spirit and influence will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
