I met Angie through her friend Lori-ann and spent time with her during the toughest days of her illness. One time, pausing in her frightened thoughts, she recited from memory a monologue from a Tennessee Williams play. Needless to say, I was impressed.
I loved her purple sequinned hat - it is very expressive of the Angie I never got to know but was hoping to - the pre-illness woman who was boisterous, musical, funny and generous.
Angie, there are at least three new songs now because of you, and I hope where you are you can appreciate how you touched our lives and how much mutual caring went on. This is your lantern. Let it light my way to easier memories.

Angie was a customer of mine at my pet store. Over the years we would chat lightly when she came in to get food for her cat, and later for her Siamese Fighting Fish “Blue”.

In 2016 I ended a longterm relationship and was having a difficult time. I began running into Angie on the bus or when I was out getting pizza etc. She lent a kind ear and shared a bit ... I always felt better after talking with her.

This past year, I would occasionally walk her home from my shop in the evening . I helped her with her fish (Blue #1 & Blue #3) when she was away . She was concerned about asking for help and favours. But, I told her she was like family and and I was happy to repay her kindness.

Angie was instantly likeable and like everyone else, I was shocked to hear of her passing. Hugs to all her friends and family. It has been hard dealing with this, but it helps reading from others and sharing.

Thank you Angie for your friendship and gentle spirit.

I remember Angie from many different times of seeing her on the bus and on the Drive. We were friends. She invited me to her grad for a writer's course she took. Angie always had a nice smile and was always a joy to visit with. I really benefitted from knowing you Angie.
