Arthur Leonard Frewin passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on April 29th at 4:20 p.m.
Art will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 58 years, Betty, daughter Leanne (Jon), grandchildren Briana (Nolan) and Taylor, and great-granddaughter Adeline. He was predeceased by his beloved son Kevin.
Art was born on June 14, 1937, in Vancouver to his parents Leonard and Ethel. He grew up alongside his sister Barbara, whom he is now reunited with in heaven. Art dedicated 37 years to doing what he loved while working at BC TEL.
Art found joy in life’s simple moments — always capturing memories with his camera, fixing just about anything with duct tape, volunteering at the centre, playing badminton and snooker, tending to his garden, sharing stories, and enjoying his love for birds. He will be remembered for his kindness, humour, and the love he had for everyone around him.
Art will be deeply missed by his family and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A small gathering of family and friends will be arranged in the near future.
