Barbara Jean Sales

It is with great sadness her family announces the death of Barbara Jean Sales (nee Lynch) at the age of 85.

Barbara, also known fondly over the years as Babs, Bubsie, Bubbles, and Gabi (Great Aunt B), passed away in her sleep on May 27, 2023.

She is survived by her only sibling, Shirley, and brother-in-law Sholto Hebenton, niece Barbara (Tim) Fielden and nephew Jeff (Ashley) Hebenton, 4 grand nephews and nieces, Nick, Mike, Emily and Fia, and her former husband and good friend, Rick Sales.

Barbara grew up in Penticton, then lived in California before returning to Vancouver. She had a long career working in downtown offices, finally retiring from J Walter Thompson. Her final very happy year was spent living at Tapestry-Arbutus Walk enjoying new friendships and adventures.

She had a great love for travelling, walking with her fitbit (and with borrowed dogs), playing tennis at the Jericho Tennis Club, driving her red Suzuki jeep, and cuddling cats. She made so many friends across generations.

We will miss her terribly.
