Carmelo Aufiero

With heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Carmelo Aufiero. He was born on July 16, 1936 in Tufo, Italy. Carmelo passed away peacefully on December 25, 2022 in Burnaby, BC. Carmelo is survived by his son Sergio and daughter-in-law Kim. He leaves behind nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, and many dear friends.

Carmelo was a proud husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law, and wonderful friend to so many people. He was so loved and admired by all. His life was a reflection of hard work, family, tradition, and integrity. Carmelo's love and support for his family was infinite. He adored his beloved wife Laura and his sons Rino and Sergio. Carmelo is remembered for his great big smile and generosity. He will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in everyone's heart.

A memorial service will be held on January 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, BC.
