Carol was predeceased by her husband Grover in April 2021. She leaves behind to grieve and to celebrate a life well lived her children John (Kristine) Alexander and Sara; Brian (Lynne) Nicholas, Bronwyn, and Jackson; Hilary (Frank) Matthew and Erin; and Bill (Lisa).
Carol was born in Auburn, Washington and lived her life in Vancouver. A graduate of Magee High School (class of 1950), she had many lasting friendships from her school days.
She attended VGH School of Nursing, following in her mother Elizabeth's footsteps. Carol had a very rewarding career as a public health nurse for the City of Vancouver, working in schools and health units across the city.
Summers were spent at Gower Point on the Sunshine Coast. Carol had a lifetime of Gower memories, as do her family and friends. The cabin on Ocean Beach Esplanade was at the heart of the summer fun as well as a few infamous Grey Cup parties.
Carol's easy laugh and smiling face welcomed everyone into her world, she was a dear friend to all who knew her. She will be missed immensely and will be carried in our hearts forever.
There will be a celebration for both Carol and Grover, details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to BC Children's Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
