Chau Wan Ip, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Mar 31, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on Aug 6, 1932, in Guangdong, China, she likes her English nickname, Wendy, a lot and always let us remember a popular fastfood restaurant logo. She lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and love.
She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs above her own. Back to the old day a low-income family with 6 children to raise could be difficult to deal with all the time. However, mom already offer warmth and joy to fill up the house with the sound of laughter.
She was not only a good mother but also an active worker who enjoys a lot of gardening, cloth sewing and community relax dancing. Of course, I will remember the picture she and my daughter Cynthia eating lobster tastefully in the seafood restaurant.
Wendy was accompanied with her loving children, Connie, Pamela, Kenneth (myself), Francis, Lowell and Diane, and her adoring grandchildren, Theo, Deborah, Clara, Jessica, Valerie, Cynthia, Wayne, Rene, Bernice, Myra, Jeanette, and Leanne, and her precious great grandchildren, Ethan, Noelle, Timothy and Tyler. She was a beacon of light in their lives and will be profoundly missed.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held on April 9 2024 at Mount Pleasent Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, you can write a note or loving memory story below.
Wendy's legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who knew her. She may have left this world, but she will forever remain in our hearts. Thanks you for your endless love and unforgettable remember. Mom, hope to hold your hands again, hope to see you in heaven in the future.
