Susie was born in Guangdong, China and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She was predeceased by her husband, Choy Jow (Joe) Lowe in 1975. She is survived by her children Pinky (Jim), Jeanne, Selina (Jinx, late), Leisa (Willie), Darren and Lesley, grandchildren Parker (Sarah), Corey, Christie and Graham and great grandchild Oyele.
Chiu Yen raised her children on her own after her husband passed away. She was known for her cheerful disposition, her determination, hard work and cooking skills.
Many thanks to the staff at Royal Ascot Care Centre for their care and kindness to Susie during her stay there.
A funeral service for Chiu Yen will take place at 10:00 on Thursday, October 10th at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, followed by burial at 11:30 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 5455 Fraser Street, Vancouver, BC.
