

Kominek, age 40 of Vancouver, in the city that she loved. Formerly from the small farming
community of Dresden, Ontario.
Loving mother to the light of her life, Evolina Bertelsen (Mark)
Beloved daughter of Allen (Marion) and the late Mary Kominek. Born July 6th, 1982, in Chatham,
Ontario, during a total eclipse of the full moon.
Christine will be sadly missed by her sisters Michelle (Gerard) Gadoury, Cindy Kominek (Steve
Sharpe), and brothers Keith (Jessica) Kominek, Ken (Beth) Kominek, and stepbrothers Chris and
Tim McCubbin.
Special Aunt to Adrien, Andre, Bailey, Brook, Emma, Abigail, Ava and Nathan.
Granddaughter to Stanley and Frances Kominek, and the late Robert and Theresa Plante. Niece
to Bill (Janice) Kominek, Sue (Brett) Anderson, Patricia Plante, Bernie (Marion) Plante, Judy (Joe)
Nappa, John (Cathy) Plante, Gerald Plante, Catherine Stevens. She’s survived by several cousins.
Christine was a very strong women, very talented artist, dreamer, fantastic cook, and free spirit
of the universe. She always had lofty ideas, which were much bigger than the little old town of
Dresden.
Our family would like to thank Christine’s extended family and friends in Vancouver…. Crystal,
Roberta and Matt. Special thanks to the paramedics and bystanders at the scene of the
accident. Many thanks to the staff at the Vancouver General Hospital. Your love, generosity and
help during this difficult time will always be remembered. Cremation has already taken place.
