The world is a little poorer since Clare has left us or, at least, I am.  She was a good and loyal friend.  She stood up for me when no one else would, and did so fiercely!  She had a very strong sense of right and wrong and wouldn't accept nonsense from anyone.  I loved that about her and hope to be able to develop that quality in myself more fully.  I will miss our lunches at Oakridge Mall.
