Born November 20, 1925 in Kythira, Greece. Passed away peacefully on May 28, 2012 in Mount Saint Joseph's Hospital. Dearly missed by her son Margaritis (Rick). Survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, the U.S.A. and Greece. Also survived by God-son Peter Mattis and God-daughter Christie Mattis-Kerasiotis. Dena was predeceased by her loving husband Zissis and her sisters Hrisi, Fotini, Filio, Stavroula and brother Panayiotis. Prayers to be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas and Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church, 4641 Boundary Rd. Vancouver, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. Father Evangelos Aravantinos officiating. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby.
