Doushu Cao 曹斗枢

December 19, 1932 – November 4, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cao Doushu, husband, father, brother and grandparent, who passed away peacefully at the Burnaby Hospital in British Columbia, Canada on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the age of almost 92.

Cao Doushu was born in Zhejiang Province, China on December 19, 1932 and later made his home in Beijing where he built a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and community. Cao Doushu first joined the army at the age of 15 for 4 years. As an ex-serviceman, he was transferred to Radio, Film and Television Department where he worked another 5 years. Finally, he joined the Parts and Accessories Factory of the Radio, Film and Television Department for 35 years before he retired at the age of 60. During his retirement, he immigrated to Canada in the 2000s with his wife to take care of his grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Zhang Jinfang, sister Cao Mei, 3 children Cao Tieyuan, Cao Xinyuang and Sharon Cao, son-in-law Barry Fu, 4 grandchildren Cao Jia, Cao Yifei, Shirley Ann Fu and Yolanda Fu, and great grandchild Tyson Xie. He is predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers Cao Yuncheng and Cao Xinhua.

Cao Doushu will be remembered for his diligent hard work, generosity, kindness, devotion to his family and faithfulness to his wife.

A memorial service will be held on November 12, 2025 at Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home at 3:30pm.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Sharon Cao for being his exclusive caretaker for many years and to the doctors and nurses for their compassion and care during this time.

Cao Doushu will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

我们怀着无比沉痛的心情，宣布曹斗枢的辞世。他是一位深爱家庭的慈父、受人爱戴的兄长。他于2025年11月4日在加拿大不列颠哥伦比亚省伯纳比医院安详离世，享年近92岁。

曹斗枢1932年12月19日出生于中国浙江省，后定居北京，在那里建立了充满爱、欢笑和对家庭及社区奉献的生活。他15岁参军，服役四年，复员到广播电影电视部工作五年。为了更好地照顾家庭和子女他调入广播电影电视部设备制造厂工作三十五年，直至60岁离休。之后，他于2000年随妻子移民加拿大，并与女儿和孙女们同住。

曹斗枢以勤勉、慷慨、善良、对家庭的奉献以及对妻子的忠诚为人所铭记。曹斗枢将被深深怀念。他身边留下了深爱他的妻子张近芳；妹妹曹梅；三位子女：曹铁原、曹新源、曹晓原；女婿傅宝寅；四位孙辈：曹佳、曹一菲、傅雨姗、傅雨婷；曾孙 谢小跳。他的父母及两位兄长曹云程和曹新华已先行离世。

追思会将于2025年11月12日下午3:30在 Mount Pleasant Universal Funeral Home（地址：306 East 11th Ave., Vancouver, BC, V5T 2C6） 举行。

亲友们诚挚邀请前来参加并分享他生前的美好回忆。

家人衷心感谢曹晓原多年来对他的悉心照料，同时感谢医生、护士在此期间给予的关爱与照顾。
