Cuz, I beat you coming to earth, but you beat me going to heaven.
It has been a joy having you in my life and family.
I enjoyed sharing summers together at Papa and Mama Rogers. Throwing the paper on your paper route, swimming and playing softball on the Baptist church softball team and oh drinking those frosty root beers at the drug store.
It was even fun when we were on break from college working with our fathers In the construction business. In those days we talked about our future and what we hoped to accomplish. Praise the Lord, we both fulfilled our hopes and a whole lot more. See you soon. You are definitely in my future!

Doyle was a wonderful teacher. He taught me about food and wine. He also showed me the world.

It is with sorrow in our hearts that we got the sad news that our dear friend Doyle had passed away. A friend who in many ways was an inspiration and a mentor in our life. We are lucky that we had the privilege of having him as a friend in our lives and sharing many wonderful moments and memories together. Thinking today of our dear friend and also his life partner who always stood by his side and who is now going through this sad time in life. Life is too short, dear friends, to not be fully lived. Our dear friend did, he knew, and lived his life to the full, for he was a "bon vivant" right into the fingertips. RIP my dear friend.

What an amazing gentleman with so many accomplishments. We are honored to have known him and to have been able to enjoy the company of both Lesley & Doyle. They were an amazing team who demonstrated class, grace, generosity and kindness. I will cherish the memories from Houston, France and Monte Carlo. Rest In Peace.

I met Doyle thru his cousin, Patricia Ann Hall, when he was a basketball star in high school. His cousin later became my sister-in-law and through her I kept up with Doyle's many accomplishments. We both lived vicariously through his many world travels, his many dinner parties, met his lovely companion Lesley, and loved reading all about his lifestyle. He never lost being "just Doyle" though. He certainly had a very busy life and I would think he accomplished everything on his "bucket list". RIP Doyle Rogers. You will be missed by so many.

It has been incredibly sad to hear the news of Doyle’s passing. From the moment we met and shared renting a house in Aspen for the holidays, DNR became like a brother to me in Houston. I learned from his incredible discipline and drive to complete every task with professional excellence. I was so honored when he appointed me to serve on the board of his insurance company ICA.
When Doyle and Lesley met, it was a magic bond for 20 years of exploring the world and making friends everywhere. They were the most generous hosts of perfect dinners with friends. It was a gift of a lifetime to know them. My prayers go to Lesley, Stephen and Jennifer and their families for the loss we all share together. Thank you Doyle, for coming into my life.

Doyle was a larger than life lover of life. His career brilliance and strong willed character earned him a lifestyle of adventurous travel with his beloved companion Lesley and friends worldwide from all walks of life. I was honored to be one. He certainly did not suffer fools lightly but always embraced his friends and relished the time with them in exquisite dining always replete with the finest wines on the planet. He knew them all. He was a man who knew much about many things and we often shared our love of Houston sports teams together. I found him to be a man who was refined, respected, and now, for me, forever well remembered. Thank you old friend for showing me how to enjoy life to its fullest. I am deeply saddened by your passing. Condolences to all who loved him.
