With heavy hearts, we hope to spend some time this morning reflecting on his spirit, his life, and our relationships with him. We also offer gratitude as he is received by his Heavenly Father into a peace and joy that knows no bounds, and we invite you to set aside a place in your hearts, where perhaps, he can remain with us.
Eugene lived a life of fellowship and support for his family and his community. He supported his family as an Electrician in Jamaica and Canada for over forty years, supported his siblings faithfully and served on the governing boards of his Church Ebenezer Baptist, Fair Haven Homes Society, and his strata council. He also took time to offer his friendship and encouragement to numerous others he met along his way.
My dad was also a nurturer of things. He loved to spend time growing flowers, fruit and vegetables. Our home was always surrounded by beautiful flowers and tasty treats from my dad’s garden.
He loved so many of us deeply, and in turn, we loved him too. We are profoundly saddened by his loss, will forever miss moments and seasons shared with him. Like many of us, I will be forever blessed and grateful for the time he spent with us.
Eugene is preceded by his parents Wilfred and Sadie Campbell; his brothers and sisters, Karlene Williams, Winston Campbell, Eunice Campbell, Harold campbell; his daughters Donna Bruin and Carol Campbell, and his wife, Julia Campbell.
His survived by a large and loving family, including his great grand children Saadiah and Sakeri Campbell; his grand daughters Shannon Campbell, Saige and Stacey Bruin; his brothers and sisters, Florence Champagne, Wilfred Campbell, Jefferson Campbell, Pauline Campbell, Jennifer Solomon, Gwendolyn Fielder, his wife Emelita Campbell, and his son, Eddie Campbell.
As he remains in our hearts, we offer his spirit and soul to his Heavenly Father.
1 Corinthians 13: 12-13
“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
