Faith Sandra Billy

Sunrise July 14, 1944 – Sunset April 30, 2014

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our sister, aunt and friend Faith died peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital with family by her side. She will forever be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humour and sincere appreciation for everyone. Faith was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia predeceased by her late parent’s Arnel and Dorothy Murphy.

Faith is survived by sisters Hope Riera (Jose), Sharilee Head (Wayne) and Meloni Richardson; brother in law Cedric Billy (Penny); special niece Linda Daniels and her daughter Joanie (Faith’s Granddaughter by declaration). She is also survived by her aunts Rita Robinson, Eileen Boutilier and Hazel Matonovich; uncle Colin Burns and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, loving relatives and dear friends. Faith travelled across Canada until she met the love of her life the late Gideon Billy and resided on Squamish Nation Mission Indian Reserve.

Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Indian Catholic Church, 424 West Esplanade North Vancouver, BC, Monday, May 5, 2014 at 11:00 am.
