You are still alive in our memories.  Your thoughtfulness and dedication to your community were remembered this year.

I think of Frank every day and am thankful for the short time we had together.  There are lots of happy memories.

I would like to thank the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society for allowing me to participate in the Zoom Grief Support Group over the past year.  It has been extremely helpful.

 I am so,so sorry for the loss of Frank. I met Frank and Martina when I first moved to Merritt many years ago when Frank and my late husband Trevor worked for the Ministry of Forests.
 Frank and Martina had us over for a fabulous gourmet meal and we remained good friends throughout the years. I always respected and admired Frank very much. He was an incredibly kind and calm person, who was always interesting to have a chat with, when I would bump into him over the years. We have lost a wonderful soul. 
 Danica and Vanessa, I hope you and your family are coping as best you can during this time. My heart goes out to you.

Frank’s death was a shock and it is taking time to recover.  

Frank and I had professional photos taken for our engagement on September 22, 2020.  I am so happy that I had these photos done especially since there will now be no wedding pictures.

Frank made fun of me for making lists but now I am going to make a list of the things that attracted me to him.
  He made me feel more loved than I have ever been
  He shared my interests in meditation, eating healthfully, and 
  taking long walks.
  He expressed interest in playing bridge, genealogical research, 
  dancing and travelling.
  He had a positive, cheerful attitude.  He rarely complained 
  although he suffered from debilitating cluster headaches.
  He was selfless.  I didn’t know what the word meant until I met 
  Frank.  His purpose in life was to help others.  I could give 
  countless examples but the ones that impressed me most were 
  his assistance to Martina in her catering and cooking jobs and his 
  dedication to his mother-in-law who suffered from dementia.
  He spoke often and lovingly about Martina.
  He had an ability to reinvent himself.  He did this in his jobs from 
  bowling pin setter to wine maker to forest ranger to internet 
  entrepreneur and manager of the Merritt transit system.  He did 
  this in his hobbies from science fiction to fly fishing, skiing, body 
  building and vegetarianism. What remained constant was his 
  interest in philosophy, history and Buddhism.  The changes he made in his 
  life were primarily for his health, to conform to his principles and 
  to enable him to spend more time with his family.  I had 
  confidence that he could reinvent himself to become exactly what 
  I needed.

My heart goes out to Vanessa and Danica who have lost both their mother and their father.  I also wish to thank them for going to Vancouver to spend time with their father at St. Paul’s hospital when I felt unable to do so because of my own medical issues.

  I miss Frank so much, not only was he an amazing man, but my #1 best friend. We use to go on some awesome hikes around Merritt, and had some great conversations. 

  I also see why Vanessa and Danica are such awesome people, not only was Frank amazing so was his wife Martina. I have lots of great memories with them both. Rest In Peace Frank love you. Your friend for always Travis.
