Born: September 11, 1960
Passed away: August 8, 2022
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of George Georgoulas, our beloved cousin, nephew and uncle. Predeceased by his forever loving mother Helen, father Asterios, his special yiayia Panayio and his devoted second mother, aunt Alexandra. George leaves behind his dear uncle George, aunt Aglaia, devoted cousins Tatiana (Gary) Koehler, and Jiota (Leo) Pappas, and adoring nephews and niece, Evan, Nicholas, Alexander, George and Natasha, as well as his family in Greece. His family was everything to him. Those who knew George understood the gentle and kind soul that he was. Always guided by his strong faith, George was an example of goodness to our entire family. His greatest desire was to help those in need and to make a difference in their lives. He made a difference in ours by teaching us the beauty of living with kind and generous hearts that always wish the best for others no matter the circumstances. We are all better people for having had him in our lives. We will miss George dearly but will always keep his memory and teachings near and dear. We all love you George and may you rest in peace amongst the angels in heaven.
We wish to thank all the doctors, nurses, social workers and therapists at St. Paul's Hospital for all their care during George's brief battle with cancer. A special thank you to Patrick (Spiritual Advisor) for his support throughout his stay.
In memory of George, we ask that if you see someone less fortunate than you, that you take a moment to offer a coin or two and a kind word. Let them know that they are not invisible. Let kindness rule the world.

Crossing the Bar
By Lord Alfred Tennyson
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea;
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep,
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark.
For tho’ from out our bourne of time and place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face,
When I have crossed the bar.
